A New Creation in Christ
Baptism is the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments” (Catechism #1213). By this first sacrament, we are washed of original sin and given a brand new identity as an adopted son or daughter of God.

Baptismal Preparation for Children under 7
Our baptismal preparation classes are offered as needed for parents and guardians of children under age 7. We can help schedule the date of your child’s baptism once preparation has been completed and all supporting documents have been received.
Baptism Preparation for Children over 7
Children over the age of 7 will need more extensive preparation to receive their sacraments through our OCIC (Order of Christian Initiation for Children) program. This process begins officially in the Fall with weekly class gatherings and culminates on the Easter Vigil.
Baptism for Adults — OCIA
Adults who desire baptism will require at least one full “school year” of the OCIA (Order for Christian Initiation of Adults) class schedule (beginning in September), but may begin attending our OCIA group meetings at any time during the year. We encourage anyone who wants to receive the sacraments to attend Mass weekly, get involved with our other parish ministries, book clubs, and Bible studies to learn more and cooperate with the Holy Spirit who is leading them in their journey of faith.
